INAD had already caused Zoe to lose many skills. She is now unable to move without help and is entirely dependent on parents for everything. She can no longer talk and is now tube fed due to an unsafe swallow. Her vision is deteriorating. She suffers from stiffness and pain, reflux, and delayed stomach emptying. She struggles to manage her secretions without regular treatment.

Seeing Zoe laugh and smile can fill you with happiness for the whole day. She is a kind and fun loving little girl. It is heartbreaking that there is currently no cure available for INAD to save Zoe and others with this condition. Zoe developed normally until she was 2. By aged 2.5 were told Zoe would have a life expectancy of aged 5-10 years. We need to find a cure to stop the needless suffering of children with INAD.
Zoe has a little brother called Alex. He loves his big sister and is very kind to her and wants to help.
