Grant Funding
The INADcure Foundation was formed to fund scientific research for treatments and a cure for INAD and other forms of PLA2G6-related neurodegeneration (PLAN). The Foundation works to identify and fund the most promising INAD research projects while forging partnerships with academic institutions, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies to accelerate the development of treatments. In addition to traditional scientific research grants, the Foundation is open to funding innovative small scale projects investigating new ideas and approaches to advance the understanding of INAD (and potentially accelerate treatment options) with the hope to generate results that may attract larger scale funding.
It is our hope that our research efforts will help increase the number of scientists working on INAD.
The first step in the process of a grant application to the INADcure Foundation is to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). Applicants with high potential research projects will be invited to submit a full proposal if necessary; instructions will be forwarded along with the invitation.
Our funding is open to:
1) Researchers, clinicians, and postdoctoral fellows.
2) Existing, private, early-stage pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries (if a clear need for non-profit funding to support the project is demonstrated and justified).
3) Projects based in the U.S. and worldwide.
4) Teams working together from different institutions as well as within pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries are strongly encouraged.
